Trains for lines 1 and 2 of the Milan Atm network represent the evolution of vehicles that are in service among several european and non-european exhibitors.
Trains are composed of 2 equal and independent traction unit (UdT) intended to serve in trains with 6 cases permanently coupled with driver's cabin at both ends. The two are made by a motive case "M1" with a cockpit, a towed case "R" and an intermediate motive case "M2".
The passenger doors are electrically powered, high reliability and low maintenance, propose solutions consolidated on previous supply to ATM in order to privilege the management cost and include the necessary improvement about functional management and diagnostics. The noise level during the opening/closing is particularly contained.

Trains are equipped with an advanced system of video audio informations to the passengers, with the possibility to receive even during the operation time the informations to transmit in the branch. The system is fully integrated with on board video surveillance and diagnostics.
